Elgin lose a goal after three minutes, their goalkeeper after seven minutes and eight goals at McDiarmid Park

With the Premier Sports Cup now consigned to history, Elgin City can focus on the League 2 opener at Annan Athletic on Saturday.

A poor cup campaign ended with an eight goal hammering in Perth as the Championship side took full advantage of City going down to 10 men after just seven minutes when goalkeeper Tom Ritchie was dismissed for a foul outside his box.

Reghan Tumilty had given the home side a third minute lead.

The afternoon went from bad to worse for Elgin, who trailed 4-0 at the break, and conceded three goals in the last 12 minutes of the game.
