Match Report
Elgin City dominated the first half but it took until a minute before half-time to make the breakthrough.
And it was talisman Russell Dingwall, in for his first start of the season following injury, who got the goal.
Ally Spalding put in a marauding run down the right wing and crashed his way to the byeline and when he cut the ball back, Rusty fired home from eight yards.
The domination continued after the break and Josh Walker made it 2-0 when Kane Hester’s shot came back off the post and Walker was quickest to react to stab home his fifth goal in six games.
And Hester finished the game off in magnificent style when he rifled in a superb free kick in the 78th minute to make it 3-0.
He was booked for taking his shirt off to celebrate but it was a price worth paying to celebrate a stunning free kick goal.
